Call for Progressive Delegates to the CA Democratic Party

The California Democratic Party district delegate selection caucus is on Sunday, January 14 at 2 pm.

You can run as a delegate to the California Democratic Party or vote to support someone to represent your concerns.

Progressives need your help to make the Democratic Party more accountable to the grassroots and more concerned with enacting a progressive agenda that includes peace, justice, universal health care, and protection of the environment.

At the very least please come and vote for progressive delegates.

Delegates to the California Democratic Party are selected by county central committees and at caucuses in each Assembly District. Central committee delegates are selected by each county's committee, but Assembly district delegates are selected at a meeting or caucus open to all registered Democrats.

Any registered Democrat has an opportunity to vote for delegates or run as a delegate themselves. Depending on the district, usually about 200 voters at the caucus will decide who represents them at party conventions and quarterly executive board meetings. Twelve delegates are selected in each district.

The district delegate selection caucus is on Sunday, January 14 at 2 pm. Locations of the caucuses will be announced soon.
