1. Welcome New Subscribers

Welcome new subscribers to the announcement newsletter for PD - East Bay. This newsletter is used to announce events and activities of interest to PD - East Bay members and PD - East Bay action groups.

Our group is growing! About 70 new subscribers signed up for the newsletter at the Anti-war March in San Francisco. However, we still need more members to participate in getting the progressive word out. 2. PD - East Bay General Meeting on Saturday, April 2

The next general meeting for PD - East Bay is at:

Saturday, April 2, from 1:00-3:00 pm
Temescal Oakland Library
5205 Telegraph Ave., Oakland, CA

The featured speaker is Don Nicodemus who will give a presentation on electoral reform, accompanied by a short video.

Additionally, there will be short presentations from health, anti-war, and social security action groups.

3. Membership Dues

Membership dues will be collected at the general meeting. Dues are on a sliding of scale of $10 - $100 per year, or 2 hours work exchange per year.

If you cannot make it to the meeting in person, or if you prefer to mail your dues, mail checks made out to "PDA-EB" to the following address:

4. Update on PD-East Bay Website and Calendar

The PD - East Bay website at http://www.PDEastBay.org is still under construction. We are looking at a new calendar program to display upcoming events. A prototype is available for viewing now at http://www.pdeastbay.org/calendar. We also plan to have sections of the website dedicated to announcements from each action group. Please be patient as we get this website up and running.
